Interesting that all Olympic branding has been removed from the "Green Fade Edition" glasses.
No Rio graphics on the frames. No Rio etching on the lenses.
"Rio" and "Olympics" don't even appear on the webpages for "Green Fade Edition" glasses.

Unless Oakley actually sponsors the olympics, they aren't allowed to have any olympic branding/logos, nor are they allowed to produce any marketing material that mentions to the olympic games. It's why their snow goggles at sochi were that bright green colour, so that people would know that they were oakleys without Oakley having to pay exorbitant amounts of money to become an olympic sponsor. They can use the US/Canadian olympic team logos because they actually sponsor both those teams/federations

Here is an example of an Oakley frame with Olympic branding:

It seems like, since Oakley can put the Rio Olympic logo, "Rio 2016", and the Olympic rings on the box, bag, and lens of the Sliver and Chainlink, as pictured in the post pinned to the top of every page of this thread, Oakley would be able to put the same branding on the "Green Fade Edition" glasses, if Oakley were willing to pay the licensing fees.

the box on the ones from Brazil have the rio hologram on them as well as the VISA logo
That's the kind of Olympic-specific detail that I would like to see on the glasses sold in the US.
