Serial no's on frame

Can anybody tell me when Oakley started to put id numbers on the frames.
I have a couple of older pairs, from about 8 years ago purchased for me by people on holiday in the USA.
They do not have ant id on the frames.
The glasses in question are a pair of unknown grey frame dark grey lens and a pair of crystal red fives with black iridium.

Thank for any help.

Your best be is to post pictures and some of the people on here would be able to tell you if they are real

These are the glasses in question, I was told they were purchased from an Oakley store, I have never doubted their their authenticity, how ever I have listed the Unknowns on evil bay and have been asked to provide a s/n.
Unfortunately these are the only 2 pairs that I don not have all the original packaging.

I believe what you are referring to is a SKU number and not a serial number. Early O matter frames didn't have the SKU printed on them. Even some of the early Oakley glasses were hit or miss if it got the Oakley print on the bridge. Both your pairs definite look legit (although the ear socks on the Unknowns looks a little off).
