The aim of this thread is to chronicle all the Oakley glasses that were available exclusively at Sunglass Hut. Whilst this subject has to some extent been covered before there has for me remained one significant problem, namely, that there have been items that were exclusive initially, but later became available elsewhere, which in these instances has resulted in some glasses loosing their exclusive status, but the legacy of that is the belief that these were retailed only at SGH. Let me give some examples. In early 2001 there was 5.56 Twenty with Emerald, a truly beautiful piece, which I had to have, yet my local store at that time, Legends, could not order it, claiming it was only available at SGH. I visited my local SGH and perused the several examples of it they had, and selected the best pair with the most perfect box, and handed over full retail of £119, happy to pay the extra over the discount I would have got from Legends had they stocked it. After some time, you could find this glass basically anywhere, and Legends indeed ultimately had it. The same exclusive to non exclusive transition has occurred many times since, with examples including; Matte Silver/Ice and Pewter/+Red Whiskers, the Jury model, and Polished White/24K Shaun White Holbrook. I have seen others listed as exclusive, like the Smoke/Black Eye Jacket, Black Chrome/Titanium Bottlecap, and Polished Aluminium/Titanium Half Jackets, all of which have been available via catalogues and UK SSP lists. Not exclusives. I am thus sceptical of any new release said to be available only via SGH, at least half expecting after a few weeks or months these pieces being sold from other outlets. I have no problem with Vault stores having these, they specialise in end of line after the main life of the glass, or the odd pair in ones and twos that slipped through a net, I am not looking to be ultra strict with it, just honest about what would be reasonable for anyone to consider something exclusive. This is what I have come up with so far, as real, genuine, exclusives. An * will give the 'benefit of the doubt', basically applicable to current items deemed exclusive, where there appears no certainly whether they will remain so. Any factual input, or sound opinion will be of use.

Awesome info as always dude! I know I have mentioned it before but you reckon the blacklight polarized frogs should be included? Or perhaps wait it out a bit to see if they do indeed transition to being non exclusive?

I have seen the four Blacklight Polarized Frogskins on the USA SGH site, and nowhere else, but they do not state 'exclusive' as is the case with some others like the Acid Polarized. I have not seen anything yet to confirm that the Blacklights are exclusive, can anyone confirm their status one way or the other?

How is the SGH oil rig different?

It was the first generation (flat icon) pair with Polished Black/Silver Text frame, the only first gen pair with that colour. It was issued again as a second generation pair with sku 24-058 which was available to all and sundry, and came out not that long after the original, hence the relatively short lifespan of the SGH pair. Personally I found 24-001 quite hard to find, especially in original box, and in fact mine came from ebay as I couldn't even locate one via SGH!
