He came to rock...and rocked like no other....Dec 8th 2004 *Dimebag* Darrell Lance Abbott, the extremely talented groove metal guitarist of the bands Pantera and Damageplan brutally murdered onstage in Columbus, Ohio. His personality was larger than life, he was an angel hidden in a world of hate and chaos. If you are a fan, this is the thread to show your respects... RIP bro... love beyond forever

Yes sir i remember that PANTERA my fave hard/trash metal of all time got all their cds still tucked away i think they have it on youtube BEHIND THE MUSIC yup remembered "cemetery gates" especially "this love" one of the best guitarist of all time.

Was a fan since Cowboys From Hell. I went on a backpacking trip the summer of '91 with a group from around the country; I kept raving about them but nobody else had heard of them.

Then Vulgar Display of Power came out... 'nuff said.
