The Rarest X METALS............

Yes, it's a mistake. And Oakley's website has been notorious with little description errors here and there for years. In general, marketing people are not known for detailed accuracy.
The only x-metal frames are R1, Mars / Craters, Juliet, XX, Penny, Half X, R2, and XS. Those are the only frames produced at the Nevada plant, and the Nevada plant was the only place producing x-metals.
Believe it or don't. And feel free to check out o-review's database for additional info.

O-Review Tags them as X-Metal..... Just Saying.

Perhaps, but they also aren't part of the x-metal frame family.

I guess it comes down to semantics - are they part of the x-metal product line? No, they're in the Rx product line. Are they made from the alloy Oakley calls x-metal? Apparently so; news to me... But the former could explain your original question, why they aren't considered a "rare x-metal"...

It’s like the electronics line. I suppose you can classify them as O Matter if you really, really want (or O-Luminum in the case of the RazrWire), but most would group them as Oakley had it, under the Electronics umbrella.

I'm going to put an x metal finish on the set that I have. And use rx transition lenses with them.
