Matte black with black iridium polarized thump 256. Frame and lenses are basically mint. The last time I tested, these still worked. I've never really used them for playing music.

How do they work?

I don't really know. I have never used them. Only displayed. But they have a mini usb cable that you can plug into your computer. My assumption is that you can fairly easily add music to them.
