Has anyone thought about removing all the metal pieces of the new X-Metal frames and running them through a tumbler (device used to polish rocks) with coarse grit to get a rougher, more "raw" finish?

Wouldn't that damage the metal? Its aluminum now, not titanium.

Well the point is to create a rougher finish, so in a way you are "damaging" it. But I don't think it would break the pieces.
