Are these recast? I've not seen a Bob with a seam which is why I ask.

It's been discussed at length previously that members here want and are willing to pay top dollar for original merchandising aids like Bobs.
It's also been discussed that members here want and are willing to pay somewhat less- but are still receptive to and willing to buy - recast Bobs.
It's also been discussed that it is appropriate to identify your recasts as such and then go to business.
While Qtrain's stands are improved versions based on the originals, if he started cranking them out and offering them as OEM that would be a foul.
A recast Bob costs about $50 to make...

I thought the bottom cavity was a tell tale sign of a recast

I have no reason to believe these are recasts. I acquired them with an acrylic bob and a few other display items over 10 years ago. I doubt anyone was recasting at that time. I can provide more photos if there is some way to verify.

Here's the only photo I could find on google of the back of a shadow bob that was posted to this forum. It also shows a seam. http://www.oakleyforum.com/attachments/img4206yk-jpg.80991/
