Jawbone lenses command such prices, even regular ones. At retail, polar Jawbone/RJ lenses were like $90. Transitions usually cost that much or more. Add in discontinuity, and consequential rarity, and apparent desirability, this is actually fair.

One last question, particularly if anyone has or had these, are the vr50s hue more in line with the tint of the vr28s or is the g40 transitions? I can buy either the vr50 or g40s but I am looking for the one closer to the vr28 color

VR50 and VR28 are the same tint - VR. G is different.
I use this transitions lens in a pair of Juliets and find them very versatile while they will not turn much inside vehicles. Why? Because car windows are tinted to keep out UV's so they won't turn much nor will they indoors.
