  3. Most likely because they don't use the exact same mix of materials to get those colors, and don't bake them at the same temperature or times.

    Probably for much the same reason Oakley themselves struggle to match some colours between batches!

    Too me, it reflects that the materials and methods used to produce the lenses, still have an element of random outcome. Or to produce them to such a depth of colour is just too expensive: especialy to the 'new' Oakley corp.
