WTB: Romeo 1

There appears to be a drop in quantity. I would agree that prices across the board have risen of late on the R1; not sure what to attribute this to and whether to think if this is just one of those times where prices spike or the collector community realizing that we're now 7+ years post discontinuance and that quality pieces simply are running out. There are occasional deals...I was the recipient of one, Plasma Fire BNIB for $285 and I just missed an X Metal in really good conditon that sold a few days ago, but for every pair that goes for $450 or $500 another goes for $600 or $650 and right now the key factor seems to be that if the lenses are uncracked and good, if the gaskets and nosepieces are all there, then most of the time prices are pushing closer to $600 than they are to $500

Now for me personally I don't care about lenses because I dislike all 3 stock variants for different reasons. I was glad to get the Fire lenses in my Plasma but only because of the ability to return it to stock as I can't wear non polarized Fire, I hate Gold Iridium and Black only in Polarized...BUT this leads you down the path of +40 dollars for aftermarket OR +100 dollars for custom cut further adding to cost.
