Is EZContacts Legit? | Sunglasses and Eyeglasses Review

We’ve had a few members ask if EZContacts.com is a legitimate site to buy authentic sunglasses, eyeglasses, or even contacts. So we’re taking it into our own hands and trying out the site to buy Oakleys.

Keep reading for our full EZContacts review, including whether EZContacts is legit.

Is EZContacts A Legit Website?

Yes, EZContacts is a legitimate authorized retailer selling contact lenses, prescription glasses, and authentic eyewear brands, including Oakley, Ray-Ban, Gucci, Nike, Versace, and many others.

Additionally, from browsing online, EZContacts.com has over 200,000+ positive consumer ratings that indicate it is definitely a legitimate site.

While the brand doesn’t have a rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), this is fairly common for online retailers these days, so we wouldn’t give this too much weight.

Now let’s dig into them a bit more.

Where is EZContacts Located?

According to their Duns and Bradstreet profile, EZContacts headquarters is at 2 Bergen Tpke Ridgefield Park, NJ.

And the company has been in business since 2002 based on its domain name registration.

Does EZcontacts.com Sell Authentic Sunglasses and Eyewear?

Yes, from our experience ordering from EZContacts, the Oakley sunglasses we received were 100% authentic.

As we’ve discussed before, most of the designer frames they sell, including Oakley and Ray-Ban, are all owned by eyewear mega-company Luxottica, so it makes sense that you see them stocking these side-by-side.

EZcontacts also has over 277,000 reviews on Sitejabber and 24,000 reviews on TrustPilot.

Our EZContacts.com ordering experience

We decided to give EZContacts a test by ordering two Oakley frames through the site – an Oakley Radar EV Path in white with Prizm Road lenses and a Polished Black Holbrook with Prizm Sapphire lenses.

Website and Virtual Try On

To start, we found EZContacts.com fairly easy to use for ordering our sunglasses. You can easily filter by brand, which brought us to the 120+ models of Oakleys available.

Once you select a frame, you can view all the various details about it. One interesting feature is a “Virtual Try-On” that allows you to use your webcam or camera to see what the frame would look like on your face.

We gave this feature a quick try and were pretty impressed. There was about 60 seconds worth of calibrating, but once done, it was actually pretty accurate in aligning the Radar frame on our face.

Pricing and Placing an Order

One big area to note for the pairs we ordered is pricing. As outlined in our guide to Never paying retail for Oakleys, typically, when we order through online retailers (besides Oakley’s website), we look for a discount off retail prices.

This discount comes from what’s referred to as “grey market” pricing, where a retailer purchases wholesale items direct from the brand (e.g., Oakley in this case) but sells them below the MSRP.

Both pairs we purchased from EZContacts were discounted, but you may not realize it at first.

Originally the Radar we were interested in appeared to be the same $205 retail price across both EZContacts and Oakley. While the Holbrooks were $163 on EZContacts compared to Oakley’s $193 price.

But when we added both of these to our cart, we saw their “online special price” applied, bringing the Radar down to $164 and Holbrooks to $130!

Shipping Time and Delays

As we may have noticed on our screenshots above, we were initially intrigued by the “Have it Tomorrow” promo on the Holbrooks we were buying.

Oakley recently built on their free shipping to offer 2-hour pickup at stores for select products. But let’s face it, if you can have it shipped directly to you the next day, that’s probably the easier option.

But we were a bit disappointed when we went to actually check out to notice that only the 5-7 business day shipping option was included. Instead, the advertised “Next Day Shipping” actually cost $35.

This definitely isn’t crazy, but in the world of 1 or 2-day free Prime shipping, it felt a bit misleading to us. It seems like “Ships Same Day” likely just means in their inventory vs. ordering the pair.

Receiving our Order

After opting for the 5-7 business day shipping, we received our order about five days after placing it.

The packaging was pretty standard in an unmarked box, and the Oakleys included their original box and papers.

Refunds and Returns

While we didn’t need to use their refund policy, EZContacts does allow refunds, returns, and exchanges within 30 days of your purchase. This applies to any contact lens purchases and even prescription and non-prescription eyewear.

All products need to be in their original packaging and conditions in order to qualify for the refund policy.

Our Final Thoughts – Do we recommend EZContacts?

Overall we had a positive experience with our order and can confirm that EZContacts is legit.

The Oakleys we received were authentic and at a great price. Plus, the wide variety of popular eyewear brands EZContacts.com offers makes it worth a stop when you’re buying.

As mentioned above, we have no formal affiliation with EZContacts, so please understand you are proceeding at your own risk using their store.

Price Match Guarantee

EZContacts offers a price match guarantee for any contact lenses, eyeglasses, and sunglasses sold on their site. If you find a lower price, you can contact their customer service with proof.

Once confirmed, they will even refund the difference and beat the competitor’s price by 5%!

EZContacts Coupon Codes

Before you buy, you’ll want to check for the latest EZContacts coupon codes. You can typically save 10-15% on your purchase with only a few seconds of work.

But be careful, as many of the coupon codes we tried excluded Oakley and Ray-Ban purchases. This is pretty common at big retailers, but you may get lucky with Oakley-specific coupons.

Buying from Oakley vs. EZContacts

There isn’t much reason to purchase non-prescription eyewear from sites when you can buy them for the same price directly from the retailer.

But when you can save 10-20% off retail prices, like in the case of our experience with EZContacts, it definitely can be worth it.

You’ll also want to consider Oakley seasonal sales like Black Friday, where you can usually save up to 50%! Check out our full guide to Oakley’s sale schedule for more information.

I searched "ezcontacts" before posting my question - but nothing came up - sorry if this is a can of worms, but now I want to know even more. :)

Looks legit. Theres a phone number on their home page, give them a call.

Thanks, but calling them doesn't answer the question - a non-legit site isn't going to tell you they aren't legit. (Not saying ezcontacts is or isn't, but per Oakley they aren't an authorized dealer, and I couldn't find much about them at all after a fair amount of Googling.)

Following up, does Jomashop sell legit Oakley's? I'm new to buying them - sorry if this is standard info, but I never heard of them before.
