Oakley Drop Point Sunglasses Review

Frame, Design, and Size

The Drop Point is a sporty frame with an 8.75 base wrap. With a frame width of 134mm, Oakley Drop Point sunglasses are designed to comfortably fit small and medium-sized faces.

Featuring a full rimmed design, the Drop Point sunglasses are an every day frame like the Gascan. A plain saddle bridge, combined with the rectangular lens frame provides a firm fit without being too tight. We found the overall coverage of the frame to be on par with the Holbrook. You definitely don’t have the full wrap around lens of a Radar or M frame, but for an everyday pair you’re definitely covered.

Constructed from Oakley proprietary O Matter frame material, the Drop Point sunglasses are lightweight. This nylon-based material is also stronger than acetate and still 25% lighter.

Final Thoughts

Oakley Drop Point sunglasses are sporty and sophisticated, but the narrower design does make them best suited for small and mid-size faces. Larger guys may not get full coverage from bright light, and the frames can also pinch. However, with the right-sized face, Drop Point sunglasses are lightweight and incredibly comfortable to wear.
