- 46% VLT designed for low-light conditions such as overcast and snowing weather
- Contrast-enhancing technology designed for the mountain
- Enhanced color and visibility to help you easily spot snow contours and hazards in the terrain while skiing or snowboarding
- Rose base tint that provides a warm appearance to snowy conditions around you
- Made of impact-resistant Plutonite lens material with High Definition Optics (HDO) that blocks 100% UVA, UVB, and UVC rays
What Color is Prizm Snow Hi Pink?
Oakley Prizm Snow Hi Pink has a light pink appearance, and since this lens doesn’t have an Iridium coating, other riders will be able to see your eyes through this lens.
But because this lens features a rose base tint, it gives a red/pink appearance to your environment when you’re wearing it. This red tint is pretty standard in snow goggles and helps to brighten your snow-covered surroundings on the mountain.
Prizm Snow Hi Pink Lens Review
Our Review Gear
We reviewed a pair of Oakley Fall Line goggles with Hi Pink lenses on an overcast afternoon in the North East.
Overall we had a great time with Hi Pink, but keep reading to see how this lens stacks up against other Oakley lenses.
Initial Impressions and Review
When we first tried Hi Pink lenses on at our local Oakley store, we were worried they’d be too light for the mountain. But on our overcast ski day, the light tint was perfect at brightening up an otherwise gloomy day.
And while we still loved the Oakley Prizm technology in these lenses, we felt like the contrast-enhancing was a bit less obvious than in other lenses we’ve reviewed, like Prizm Snow Jade or Sapphire.
As the sun began to come out towards the end of the day, we definitely began to notice the light tint of Hi Pink. And eventually, we switched to Prizm Jade Iridium lenses for a bit more tint.
The lesson – Snow Hi Pink is a great lens for overcast/low-light conditions, but be ready with a darker lens if the weather starts to brighten.
Are They Worth It – Our Recommendation?
We had a great time with this lens and would recommend it mainly for anyone looking for a low-light or pink lens.
The pink color of the Hi Pink lens definitely gives a unique look and will appeal to some buyers. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is definitely your lens, and it performs.
But if you’re looking for an all-around ski lens, your best bet is Prizm Jade, Sapphire, or Torch, since these are more versatile lenses in terms of weather and conditions.
