And while these may not be everyone&#8217;s cup of tea, we love the radical design and what these mean for Oakley&#8217;s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-initial-impressions-frame-and-design\">Initial Impressions, Frame, and Design<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Leveraging PhysioMorphic Geometry\u2122, which &#8220;enables eyewear to be designed without limitations&#8221;, the\u00a0unique shield lens\u00a0shape is etched to give it a dual-lens aesthetic \u2013 reminiscent of the original style. And when you first look at these sunglasses, your eyes are instantly drawn to the circular lenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lens design and aesthetic reminds us of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oakleyforum.com\/guides\/oakley-over-the-top-sunglasses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oakley Over The Top<\/a>, with its rounded shape and out-of-this-world look. And that&#8217;s because the design centers around the Sub Zero&#8217;s lenses &#8211; I mean the lenses are about 75% of the frame!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the Re: Sub Zero provides plenty of coverage thanks to those large lenses. We&#8217;ve already reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oakleyforum.com\/guides\/oakley-prizm-ruby-lens-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oakley Prizm Ruby lenses<\/a>, so I won&#8217;t go into too much detail here, but it&#8217;s a lot of fun to see these lenses in an old-school design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But our favorite part of this release is a colorway featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oakleyforum.com\/guides\/oakley-prizm-golf-lens-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prizm Dark Golf lenses<\/a>. Let&#8217;s take a moment to appreciate the dark humor of Oakley&#8217;s design team with this one. Sure, Oakley is pushing the Re:Sub Zero as a sports performance pair. Now, is that what most people will wear them for? No, people will mainly use them as a fashion statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you expect the Re: Sub Zero to be used for sports, it&#8217;s probably for running or cycling (where wild designs are not uncommon). And where&#8217;s the last place you would expect to see this design &#8211; a golf course! This is why it&#8217;s even more fun that Oakley has pushed the envelope, suggesting you <em>could<\/em> use the new Re: Sub Zero sunglasses in one of the most conservative environments in sports. While we view the Sub Zero as more of a lifestyle and make a statement pair of sunglasses, we didn&#8217;t have any issue wearing them during running or golf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nosepads performed just as well as other <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oakleyforum.com\/guides\/the-best-oakley-sunglasses\/\"   title=\"Oakley sunglasses\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Oakley sunglasses<\/a>, and while we still prefer a frame with interchangeable lenses for sports, the Sub Zero has something fun about it. Especially running errands, these glasses more than perform and definitely turn heads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-are-replacement-re-sub-zero-lenses-available\">Are Replacement Re:Sub Zero lenses Available?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, replacement Re:Sub Zero lenses are not available.
