Count me in the DB club - got a set of matte white Jawbones yesterday. Wife wanted me to go with a more prudent black but I didn't listen. What can I say, just like the look and feel of white frames on a hot summer day.
This is good info. I never got obsessive about cleaning any of my previous Oakley's - just get around to it when the lenses get too smudged. That philosophy was challenged with my last pair; Radars. I use them cycling and often leave them with sweat on them after my ride. After 4 years of use...
Hello. Just joined last week to get some advice on a new pair of Jawbones. Just got them yesterday - matte white with VR28 Black Iridium Polarized lenses. Very nice! I only have two pair; the JB's and a worn out set of Plasma Radars. My first pair of Oakleyswas a set of zero's around 1995...
Thanks for the advice everyone. I got a pair of Jawbones with the VR28 Black Iridium Polarized lenses. Rode with them yesterday - wonderful! Just the right amount of rose tint. Better definition of colors than the Gold Iridium I previously used.

What all does Oakley do to "tune up" a set of X-Metals? I just joined this forum. Good stuff, but it makes me sad - I lost a set of X-Metal XX years ago and this forum makes me miss them! If you buy a used set that have scratches, is there anything that can be done to fix the finish...
Jeff, thanks for showing me the link! I'm now comparing the two (OO vs. VR28) using Oakley's preview tool. I know it's no substitute for actually trying, but I don't think I can make it back to the store. I understand the OO is a desirable lens; just not sure if I'm a rose color glasses guy. I...
This thread is right up my alley. I'm scouring to put together a new set of jawbones and have narrowed the lenses to OO Black Iridium or VR28 Black Iridium (both polarized). As I interpret comments here, the OO's seem to be a little more conservative - less rosey or bronze. I wish I could...
