Talent wise he is mediocre. They might have good front courts, but both davis and cousins cant carry a team.

Don't know much about these teams, but the articles I've read are really bashing the Kings for not getting more in this trade. However, the Kings weren't going to get very much because Cousins is a cancer (per articles). Hopefully, the Pelicans can make this work for a short while.
