should l be bothered with the lack of serial number?

Congrats. Since there are no markings on either earstem, then I would say it's a 4th gen frame. No worries, looks good.

Serials on gens 1-3, nothing at all on gen 4 (outside some limited editions), SKU and size on gen 5. So nothing to worry about. I have 4th and 5th gen emeralds but I did swap the lenses on the latter.
