I've always wondered, are these ONLY for 3D movie viewing or do they actually function as sunglasses? If they aren't for sunglasses, died anyone swap lenses for standard sunglass lenses so they're actually functional?

yes I have swapped out the 3D lenses for regular lenses and that's what I intend to do with this one, for me vision is fine, don't notice any distortion or anything of the sort, this is actually my second Hobbit, I'll keep one as my dedicated 3D glasses and I'll install some Brown Gradient lenses on the other
