A Question about Square Wires

Yes your model is the New Square wire ( aka Sq wire 3.0) from the mid 2000s. The Sq Wire II ( not to be confused with the Sq Wire 2.0) came out last year.

The Big Square Wire is a larger version of the Squre wire 2.0 for those that found the Sq Wire 2.0 too small. If you lived in Australia you had the Square wire 2.0 30mm to comply with local laws - it was still smaller than the Big Sq Wire.

None had interchangeable lenses ( other than Sq Wire 2.0 spring and non sprung).

Laws on glasses?

May be regulations is a better word. Square Wire 2.0 were too small to be considered sunglasses, hence the 30mm version.
I believe Pennys never officially made it there for the same reason.

The Aussies figgured the Square Wire 2.0 lens too small to effectively protect against flying beer caps...

Great reply Typhoon.

Thanks lee.s.b, seems like they made some changes to the frame from the 2006 square wire to the newest ones...The Square Wire 3.0 looks less large (frame height) and tapers as it goes to the periphery, where the "New Square Wires" look bigger and more squared off through out the frame.
