Almost bought a fake on Ebay i think...

I came really close to buying this pair on Ebay. I think the part number is wrong on the arm and the O icon is compressed out the back side on real ones they are not. They do look really close to real ones. Or am I way off here.

If so I know the one your talking about. Contacted the person with pics showing they were fake as they said "they value their reputation" Obviously not.

The 2 metal Holbrook that first pop up on link are fake. It has the icon through the backside of arm like you said and the lenses are put on backside of frame instead of in frame

correct.. actually the 1st two that popped up are both fake.
Attached a few pics. The main issue you can see right off the bat is the lens. The should sit on the outside of the frame.

you can also see that the fakes Hollopoint Hinge is is not the same but most of the pics from the fakes never show the hinge or it's very fuzzy.

I was close to buying it and started looking closer at it. You guys are on the ball. I'm glad we can educate others about this. I didn't even look at the lenses that close.
