Ok I did something today that I've never done before. Bought some Oakley off Craigslist without actually seeing them live in person. He claimes they are in mint condition and authentic Oakleys. I should receive them by mail on Monday.

Where can I learn about how to determine real vs. fake oakley's???

The lenses on the purple one arent oakley.

But not sure on frames

Sorry, they're fake. Where the T6 screw would go is a molded piece, not 2 separate pieces like they should be. I flagged those a few times but it obviously did nothing.

As far as how to spot fakes, do a search, there are a few threads about it. Mainly, check to see if the earstem tips point in or out, real = in, fake = out. The part on the bottom outer section or the orbital should be 2 separate pieces with a rubber gasket like I mentioned earlier. Also, I've seen some that have "oakley" printed on the nose.... fake.

You can always start a dispute then...
First e-mail the seller and the him they are fake and you want your money back. If he doesn't give it back start a dispute...
