Anodizing info thread

Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where members that want to mess around with anodizing titanium could swap information. I don’t want this to end up being a thread that takes away from the services that all the custom guys offer but a place where members could swap tips and tricks with the process might help out beginners as well as experts. If this wont be a welcome thread in the customizers eyes I completely understand and this thread can be deleted.

Info shared could include:

power supplies, voltages, current
types of electrolyte solution
cleaning agents
acid etching
surface prep to achieve different effects
heat vs electrolytic
masking techniques

Not sure how well this would be received here so feedback on the the thread would be appreciated before I start posting questions or any info. I’ve been anodizing mainly knife parts as well as other titanium parts for years and in the knife community many customizers frown on secret techniques and info being revealed. Feedback from any member is appreciated but mainly looking for feedback from the custom community on here as I don’t want to start posting info that customizers would rather not be shared.

I’ll be the nice one

This is the method I follow and here are some of my results. I use a power supply that goes up to 110v I believe. Got basic videos on YouTube from a few knife anodizers. Just thought I’d share a bit of my knowledge since no one else will. I don’t have the most experience but I have done a lot of research and have gotten really good results after just a couple practice runs with scrap Ti and cheaper Ti scaled knives.
