Coming from my earlier post about passing on the LeBron 13's. I really didn't hate those, and was slightly tempted because of convenience and colorway, but I couldn't do because I had these coming in.

LeBron XI "Gator King" from the 2014 All-Star game, which was also in NOLA. Chris was posting about his Penny Posites which had a colorway celebrating ASW as well. Almost went for that same pair as well since the prices now are alright. Obviously bought these well below retail as deadstock.

Much like the recent Jordan drops, this features iridescent hits. My main motivation was to finally have a white shoe (my Melo 11's passed on to my brother). This doesn't totally fit the bill because it's still an off-white glow compound. Really weird that I want to call this my beater LeBron XI, because it was probably the most detailed package barring a championship pack if he didn't get his ass kicked that season. I really hated LeHeat. What a douche, but the XI is my favorite design of his line. Ranted about that in a previous post, I think.

I did switch to the secondary laces to blend with the more immediate color. I mean now it's glittery but oh well I'm a fancy boy. As much as I wanted to be classic Bron with the lace locks, I can't make them work. They poke into the upper and/or tongue; the backsides aren't rounded off so it seemed like a bad idea. They also made lacing more tedious and less fit precise — which would be a waste for me because a big draw of this pair is the fit for me. I literally tried every configuration below the LJ logo and nothing worked for me.

Stitched detail on the drop-in midsole. I swapped over my more ordinary-looking set from the "King's Pride" pair to preserve these.

As detailed as this pair is, it seems like the Hyperposite was substituted with some kind of thermoplastic for the glow properties and/or to probably make the shoe more wearable for LeBron since the toebox is generally tight on the XI. This isn't as snug as my "King's Pride" pair, but still fits closer than many other shoes. Also, the laces aren't kevlar-braided like the ones that come with the other general release pairs.

There is general speculation of LeBron retros. They just did the Air Zoom Generation last month. At first glance it sounds too soon, and it's hard to believe there would be worthwhile demand, but LeBron has been insanely profitable for Nike, and there's a younger generation that will probably chase down pairs they couldn't have as most adults do with Jordan's. Personally might chase down a pair of "Taxi" 9 Elite's. The red championship pair would be a grail, but an expensive one I wouldn't wear.

Copped my dream shoes lol, finally after all these years. While I was in school way back then, I asked my mom to buy me the "New Jordan's with the shiny bottom". Well she purchased the 11's IE instead!! That was the closest of me owning these 11 Bred's, which was 1996 I believe.

Got the Flu Game's as well today. So which one do you guys think is equivalent to the Romeo Jordan's?
