Agreed on all points, @Ventruck. I usually moan at the knockoffs. I don't mind the budget shoes, but I don't like it when it reeks of budget.

I noticed that that $50 Nike Monarch is a perennial mainstay.

I can see less discounting as a result à la Luxomatic.

Those are like go-to blue collar job/soccer dad shoes. I'm not even saying that as an insult, but in a world where an employer's only options include Sketchers shape up and those "no-slip" general pairs, something's got to give.

When Nike puts out legit good shoes (assuming they're above their joke QC standards), they're undoubtedly amazing. I really want that to be the end-result from restructuring. I don't know how Adidas can deliver functionally competitive or sometimes superior shoes, for less, without all the BS splooge marks.

I need to try the new Adidas Boost. Only thing that has held me back from their classics are the harder than rocks soles. Nike isn't much better, but they are less ruthless than Adidas and Puma on these soles... And I like their styling (fashion over most function lol)

Ultra Boosts are are hype as they get because the upper is so soft and the whole thing feels so minimal. I have the uncaged version and personally don't like how flimsy the upper feels (it's like a straight up sock), but the cushion in on-point. Totally recommend the caged version over this. My pair is straight up house shoes. I'd never want to be caught dead in a fight wearing these.

Pure Boosts have more structure to the upper. Debated getting a pair but I already have two pairs incoming (yeah, damnit this habit).

NMDs have mad hype but their Boost setup is firmer.

Generally speaking, the Rose 6 you got was actually a surprisingly good example of Boost itself imo. The casual/runners build more upon how much more comfortable the upper can feel with less overall weight. I'll admit, the bulky collar of the Rose 6 does get annoying after a while.

Thanks. I should have tried these before getting back to Jordan scene. I'm stuck with a bunch of dead stocks lol.

I would like to hear you right opinions regarding caged vs uncared. To me, uncaged feels more comfortable. Is it just me?
