We don't seem to have been as influenced linguistically by the proximity of Spain as the US has been by Latin America. Sure, we know paella and chorizo, and cerveza may be the only foreign word some Brits know, but it hasn't penetrated generally by and large. More influence from French and Latin than Spanish or Portuguese.

. I tried quinoa a couple of time just can't eat it. I do add ground chia seeds to all my salads. But don't let it sit too long in a bowl or plate as it will absorb the dressing or moister off the salad and expand.
