Authentic or counterfeit? GEN 4 Oakley Juliet?

Hello everyone, I’m an avid Oakley-ist since I’ve starting wearing sunglasses. I’m also glad to be a part of this group that, like me has interest and appreciation to Oakley products.
I’ve recently purchased my first Oakley Juliet but is wondering of it’s authenticity. My first pair of xmetals are the bad man Ferrari but comparing these juliets, it didn’t seem up to par with the bad man that I had. (In quality and marksmanship.) I don’t know maybe it’s just me.
It would be great help if I could know of it’s authenticity knowing this group surpasses my knowledge of these wonderful sunglasses.
Thanks, Jay F.

Legit for sure.

Yep they look legit to me. Nice pair of Juliets. As alluded to the Casting process & Subsequent finishing this gives them so much character, Especially as XM finish in unserialized retains the look and finish of the Gen 1 far better than Plasma finish does.

Oh those look legit, I've had a couple fakes and a real Juliet, one of the fakes was damn good, damn damn good, but still replicas.

Having actually owned a couple fakes and a real, I can callout some telltale signs. Firstly, those look legit based on the cut gap where the screw is where the legs adjoin the orbitals. Replicas no matter how good, are filled and closed there.

Secondly, even a good replica or junk fake, the "O" oval in the stem will look like crap, crap crap crap crap crap. At best, the replica will have a terrible stamping cut and an impure edge. Legits look like that, a sexy, smooth, clean, oval O.

Nose bridge can be a giveaway for fakes but not always. Legits have a push pin, some fakes have a two-part screw, but some fakes have a OEM style push pin too.

Weight: obviously can't tell this from pictures, but legits are very very light, of course, being made from Titanium. The very best fakes I've seen are heavy as f in comparison.

Useful Comparo: I dragged out my fakes from the closet for some pics, this should be a valuable reference for lots of people.

There ^ you can see the authentic Oakley O oval is smooth, sexy, calm yet energetic, yet not overstated.

Here ^ one can see the authentic Oakley cut at the temple shocks / screw point,

For informational purposes:
The gold replicas were about $85 USD a few years ago, imports of course, but very good sunglasses. They accept OEM and replica rubber and lenses. They are HEAVY af, and I do mean heavy. Probably solid steel.

The dogcrap X-Metal fakes are absolute trash, $20 on eBay, uncomfortable, bad optics, light enough for wear but not Ti, probably some cheapo alloy. Do not accept OEM or replica rubber or lenses well. These are garbage.

Not forgetting the bent outwards eartem tips on replicas and the closed/solid 'jet intakes' on the replicas.

One of the hard things to quantify, neigh impossible, is the feeling in your hand and on your face. Impossible with pictures and internet listings, but things being as they are,

When you hold and inspect an authentic Juliet and put it on your face, you feel like you're wearing Ferrari but sunglasses. Those O ovals are so quiet but feel like the very best there ever was. They don't need to be loud, because the glasses do that.

When you put them on your face, the Oakleys feel made just for you, they become part of your head and you forget you have sunglasses on. They are not sunglasses anymore.

Conversley, when you hold fakes, they feel like old Ford Fiesta not Ferrari, it seems like that cousin you hoped wouldn't procreate but they did dammit. You put them on and you know you're wearing sunglasses... in a few hours the headaches start. It's not an extension of you, it's an uncomfortable accessory.

The legits become part of you very fast and you forget them, it feels so light and seamless with your being.
