The original Batman show was corny as hell, but somehow Adam West may it watchable and funny. Later when he started playing the mayor on Family Guy he brought that same dry, quirky, self deprecating delivery to that character. He never took himself too seriously and somehow embraced that playing batman was both a blessing and a curse when it came to his career. He reminded me a lot of Sir Roger Moore in that respect ( who also just passed two weeks ago ). I am sure family Guy will do a much deserved tribute to Mayor Adam West, may he rest in the forever light of gods love.
