Probably 8th (and final) attempt fresh dipped after several trial & error iterations. I think I figured out what I was doing wrong...

Looks pretty good. Once dried and everything is back together post up some pics.

Finally getting around to posting final product pics. Slightly imperfect, but mine. Not bad for my first real attempt at custom. My Splits now have a new vibe.

I came across my old beat up SJ RootBeer end of last year when we were moving into our new house. Can't remember right now, but I think they went in the bin.

I know man, but at the time it must have seemed like a good idea.
Basically if I could have gotten some new rubbers and new TIP lenses they would be working just fine. Nolonger sanpoy closing of the stems but no abuse... And I God like 4-5 pairs of nose bombs so... There you go. Like I said I think they went in the bin but if I find them I'll let ya know

Thank you! Yeah, it's clear coated with about 3 light coats.They're for outdoor work, so wanted to protect against the sweat as best I could.

Those came out great, what brand for the paint did you used? Trying to start a few project soon and how well does the clear coat holding up till today?
