I can't really tell by the pictures of the EyePatch...but it looks like there is some texture to the frame now. Is that true...or is it just the pic?

I asked for a matte finish on mine, so yes there is a texture, made it a real pain in the arse to put the earsocks on the jawbone.

Were there any issues in putting the lenses/icons back in (i.e. did the finish make it tougher/tighter, did it chip)? How does it compare to an original finish? Can you tell it's something on top of an undercoat, or does it look as good as if it came straight from Oakley?

They look good...I went with a matte finish on mine as well...can't wait to get them.

There were no issues putting the lenses or icons back on, but since I chose a matte finish they don't look like something oakley would produce, the look a bit unfinished. I should have went with satin instead. I would imagine the gloss finish would look even better, but having the choice I wouldn't go glossy. I don't like it as much.
