I would personally open it and post pictures of the item to avoid the possibility of you getting scammed (although I would think that would be much less likely to happen on this forum then let's say on eBay.)
Here's my logic ...
An unscrupulous buyer can receive them in perfect condition and then turn around and send you an e-mail telling you that they were damaged, or even a totally different pair and demand a partial refund.
If you never opened the box and had no pictures, you'd have no defense ...
Probably very unlikely to happen, but being a native New Yorker, I subscribe to Stone Cold's motto ... DTA!
