BNIB Polished MM's Blue and Black

Maybe they are trying to trick us into thinking they aren't making watches anymore just so we would buy everything up?
I said the same thing to the Oakley guy at the Vault this weekend when I bought a Polished Chrome Gear Box w/ Black and white face - never seen one before. Plus watches keeping going on/off backorder on the main webpage :)

they look great have a blue one looking to get the black one
I wore the Blue to a class reunion Saturday night at a local casino. At the bar ordering a drink the guy next to me said he was a watch aficionado and complimented me on the MM. I took it off so he could check it out and he said that it was very light for its size; when he handed me the automatic Invicta that he was wearing it was an absolute tank by comparison. And I don't mean that in a good way, I don't think that I would enjoy lugging abound a timepiece like that (long live Titanium) but then again we don't really use them as timepieces anymore do we? They IMO have become more like jewelry where we seem to use cell phones as much for timekeeping.
In short the polished MM's sure get noticed but bear in mind that they seem to have kept to the 150 pc production run on the black MM's whereas there seem to be A LOT more than 150 of blue ones.

I see where people have posted about custom polishing a regular MM. I have never seen them side by side, can you tell a difference?
I would say that it would depend on the quality of the polishing. I did see that Bean felt a need to replace the band gaskets since the polisher did not disassemble the watch before polishing so that tells you a little something.
Having 2 of each black and blue I don't see how you could "improve" on the OEM finish, maybe only equal. Then unless you do it yourself and eliminate the labor expense, what would the cost be to disassemble each piece, polish them and reassemble?
Kinda along the lines of you can repaint a car and you can have it done by Earl Sheib's or Maaco and get a respray or you can take it to a higher end body shop and get it done "better".
But rarely is any finish better to have than factory/OEM and if it is it generally comes at a higher price.
