Broken hinge on Hatchet

There was a fix mentioned here a couple of years ago, but it required a donor frame.
"Search" may yet save ya...

Hi there, sadly, they do that. Shame, because they are really nice. :-(

Did a search before posting but couldn't find anything.
Is it as simple as swapping the entire ear stem for one with a good hinge? Thanks.

Exactly. The hinges consist of a small spring and a small hollow plastic part. Those break. Left and rifght are identical, so yes, fit a New one and you're good to go. As long as the New part will last, anyway.
