Bronze Plates

I have been on a bit of a mission lately to complete the famed Plate Trio (that pesky Green one still eludes me!)

During the last couple of months had quite a few pairs go through my hands, some keepers, some being forwarded to a good friend who just happened to be on the same Plate journey as me.

It is during this time that I noticed a marked difference in the finish of the rarer of the three finishes, the Bronze.

I will attach some pictures below to show the difference, thoughts and comments are welcome as usual.

(Please note, the lenses were out of one pair as it was going through a thorough deep clean)

nice! is the difference you are referring to related to the gloss appearance in the one frame and a duller look to the other? it is hard to tell if it is just the light tho

Congratulations @Jon the Don! Could the difference be on account of the amount of sun exposure each frame had? Or heat conditions it was stored in?

Variation in factory finish, early to late production, or the previous owner decided to buff it just "enough"?

Both are sweet, but the deep matte is gorgeous!

That is my preferred choice of the two @flyer.

I would always opt for a Matte finish any day of the week.
