are you going to build it yourself? Or have someone do it to the way you like it? The way you worded it sounded to me like you were going to do the work

434. Danville to be exact. Right on the NC/VA border.

Hire a contractor to build a plan I like haha. Sorry... I guess that wasn't clear. But yeah I'm just looking for advice on everything from start to finish

Not to sound Negative. Just be ready for delays and going over budget.
Stay on top of everything and go to the site often. Make sure it is built the way you want it.
While the process is going on things will fall behind and forgotten. Biggest thing is stay in contact with the lead contractor.
