Bye Bye X-Metals

I stopped by my local store today and my buddy informed me that in March Oakley will be ceasing production of X-Metals until an undetermined time in 2013. Apparently they are relocating from Nevada to elsewhere, he didn't have details but he guessed that Oakley has found a cheaper, more cost efficient way to make X-Metals. So who knows how long they won't be made. How sad.

Someone posted that on the forum last night as well. I guess it may be true. Thanks for the info! Makes me wonder if it will make the older/current x metals more valuable, or if this new process is gonna make them better or worse.

he told me oakley will use a new procedure to make x-metal model
actually it's all i know

Producing X-metals in a foreign country will never happen. Eyewear will never be produced in another country than the good ole USA.
