Can anything be done with damaged Fire Iridium lens's

Lenses are inexpensive enough to not have to go through hours of removing the iridium.

Iridiums are so overrated. I remove them with tape and wear them just plain no color

I believe the purpose of iridium is to reflect the sunlight

It is possible to remove Iridium or the AR layer with a strong adhesive tape. Like Duct / Gorilla Tape.
Especially on older lenses.
