Corona 19 thread

Because he was on his job..... and instead of standing during the american national anthem, which you are supposed to do, he went the complete opposite way and went to one knee......incredibly disrespectful to America.

Of course you have no problem with that, you are canadian, and apparently do not have close ties to your country . And i bet you are not as proud to be a Canadian as most americans are to being an american.
I am proud of my country, and if anyone did this kneeling sh it i would be upset too, we all would be here.

Don't be mad just because you don't have the love of your country like many americans and europeans have.
This is ALL conjecture... 👍

Not to mention, the idea of what they're supposedly 'protesting' is something that conservative minded Americans have been complaining about for decades and actively trying to effect change....regardless of the skin color of the victim! No knock raids have killed more innocent white people in the last year alone than the hyper-politicized incidents you see on the news involving minorities.

I've personally been involved in petitioning local law enforcement to hold their own accountable for misconduct. Police brutality and policing methods and procedure isn't a black problem alone. White people die at the hands of the police at more than twice the rate. If the bigoted left wing dullards would stop feigning outrage only when it suits their agenda and be consistent across the board with all police misconduct then less people of ALL skin color would be victims of the police!

Please tell me where I'm wrong based on facts, not your feelings.

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe! 🤙
So, because YOU’VE been protesting this on your own time at your local level... Kap can’t?

(Staying on topic here...)

Honestly, who between the both of you would have a bigger ‘reach’ and be able to get things done? I’m pretty sure both of y’all working on this topic isn’t too many...

Why do you feel it appropriate to attack and question the members patriotism of his country?
Because he has different views than yours, is he then a bad person?

Can others be respectful in their disagreements? I didn’t see anyone instigate or attack you, would you prefer that to civil discord between two members?
I question the members patriotism of his country because he is okay with someone doing something disrespectful while the national anthem is being played.

Please stand as we honour America with the star spangled banner.

Therefore he would be fine with it if someone did this during the Canadian national anthem.

Now you see it is perfectly logical to, as you put it: "question the members patriotism of his country"

Excellent post.

I left the patriotism out of my response though, because that's largely based on feelings and opinions. It's not ethical nor is it a 'right' to use another person's/entity's time for your personal protests. That is an irrefutable fact!!

Any American is entitled to their right of protest on their OWN time and only if it's done in accordance with the laws and it's done peacefully. That also is an irrefutable fact!

Now imagine being in the position that you are defending...the burning down of innocent people's businesses, the destruction of innocent people's neighborhoods, the beating of innocent people in the streets, the stealing of innocent people's belongings/goods...then ridiculing and criticizing other people peaceably petitioning their government for change and invoking outrage because the peaceful people had big scary guns, GASP 😟....and expecting sensible people to take you serious and respect your 'opinion.'

What’s also a fact is that this WHOLE time, I’ve been simply talking about Kap’s ... that’s all!

If you want to mix apples and oranges, go into hyperbole, conjecture and whataboutism’s that’s on you...

What’s a fact is that the 1st amendment doesn’t have the sub clause ‘unless you’re at work’ or any other such restriction ... does it?

‘Please’ stand... not ‘absolutely stand under penalty’ or something like that.

So it’s a choice?!? Meaning you have the RIGHT to politely refuse?

I’ve said it earlier, just because you’re offended by something doesn’t mean it’s offensive!

of course you can choose not to stand, but then you lose all respect.
you piss on your own country..... just leave, go live in another country then.
