I have a pair of flak 2.0 xl and chainlink which are a good fit. In your opinion would the crankshaft/case be a similar fit?

I have a big ol head and the crankshaft first like a glove, not too big, not too small, just the right medium balance. I also have flaks 2.0 and I see where you're coming from. Go for it, u won't be dissapointed
