Crosslink switch - poor fit around temples

Hi everyone I have just joined today.

I have wanted Oakleys since I was a child and decided to treat myself the next time my glasses were due for renewal.

I bought crosslink switch and i love the look but am struggling a bit with them slipping off my face when I look down etc.

I checked the Oakley website and I dont believe this frame has the feature where you can adjust at the arms?

I have bent the legs as in the picture below but am not 100% happy with them still to be honest.

Is this just something I need to live with or is there a better way to bend the legs?

My guess would be that this frame is not the right width for your head. Unless its just the picture, the temples seem to attach at a strange angle to the front of the frame.

Also, are you sure this is a crosslink Switch? Every one Ive seen has a wire frame bottom orbital as part of the replaceable lens orbital gimmick that they were sold under

yeah I think you are right..

i bought the smaller version out the choice of 2.

i have bent the legs so they look more like traditional glasses and they stay on my face much better now..

the joys of online shopping I suppose

they are crosslink trubridge

looked at the stamp inside the leg and its marked 53 which is the same as my old glasses!
This was the size the opticians told me was correct for my face.
I suppose oakleys are just sized/made different.

a but more digging shows the you can get Oakleys in other sizes like 49 51 etc.
a shame I have spent all this money for thin lenses etc you live and learn :(

That's just the lens width, nothing to do with the frame or fitment directly.

From Oakley:
Lenses

1Lens Width 53 mm

2Lens Height 33.5 mm

Frame

3Frame Width 126 mm

4Bridge Height 17 mm

5Arm Length 137 mm

ahh ok. so moral of the story is next time go into the shop.

the only place near me is charging about £140 for the frames alone!
you can get frames online for 40-50

That's what sucks about local places, but they have a lot of overhead for that convenience (that's a whole other conversation, lol).

Try on and order, or order from places with free returns.
