Custom Copper Fade Sutro

What started as a white/clear Sutro I picked up from @TheShow, is well on it’s way to become a copper fade custom Sutro.

I removed the icons and Made in the USA badge, light sanding, primer, then copper plating spray from Spray.bike, which I’ve used on Jawbreaker bottoms, along with a stem and bars on my cyclocross/gravel/road bike. I’ll use the original icons and metal bridge piece, and need to figure out which lens, but here it is so far. I’m going to let it dry a few days, then cleat coat it. Let that sit until next week, and then carefully reassemble.

More to come when they are all finished.

Here is the final product. Not the best paint or clear coat job I have ever done, but it was fun to play around with them and see what I could do. It would have been a better project for the summer. I’m just impatient.

The Spray.Bike paint and clear is more for bike frames and parts, but it worked. I think some of you more experienced custom painters would be able to do well with it.

Prizm Black are in for now.
