there are a lot of hand and finger prints, smudges all over. what do you guys use to clean?

000 steel wool works the best to remove oxidation and scuffs. If you have deep scratches that can be felt with the edge of a fingernail sand in one direction with 200 grit fine paper. Use wet if you don't feel to confident. Sand with the grain of the aluminum and once the scratch is no longer visible go back to buffing with the 000 steel wool. You can use 0000 also. If you really want a high luster use Meguiars aluminum mag wheel polish.

If it's just finger prints use Windex or any cleaner containing vinegar.

i'll try that. perhaps some pine sol as well mixed with water.

Oils from your skin always leave spots on the aluminum. I light coat of wax will reduce the marks and make them easier to wipe off.
