does iridium coating affects the base color

I've wondered if excessively flexing a shield lens would crack the iridium but I've never tested it.

Yes, you can remove the iridium from just the center but it will jack up that part the lens, better just leaving it as-is. And replacing it.

looks good to me, I guess you would really just be worried about additional refraction of light inwards but you could get that from the edge of any lens anyway.

Structurally fine. My only hesitation is if the Iridium starts to flake. Don't want that in my eyes.

Don't worry it's on the outside of the lens... I still think you should ask them to replace it...

Yes its just in the middle where 'Oakley' is etched.. It's not in my field of vision.. Other than the centre part every part of the lens is in perfect state.

I would not worry about. If it gets spare then consider replacing the lens. But to me, it would not bother me.
