Word. The FedEx guy was my honorary Best Friend For The Day. Today, my Mainlink's showed up and, holy space monkeys, these lenses are the awesome! Right away the color on my the seems brighter and clearer than ever before.

These are clear Oakley Rx lenses just for indoor use and they are hand over fist the best lenses I've ever worn, for this purpose. My wife even first remarked that she thought these weren't the scripted lenses because she could just see straight through them, with a small exception on the top of my right eye (-3.50 so I think that's to be expected).

The Mainlink's double as both sunglasses and spectacles but I don't think I'd look good in them on the sunny side but as regular glasses, I'm glad I tried these. The colors fit just right (go Dodgers) and the tiny little O in the corner is just straight tits. Can't get over them.

Anyone else got non-sunnies in Oakley Authentic Rx? How do you like em?

I have 3 Chamfer rx frames with different color icons & rubbers to swap around.

I originally got a frame for free for helping someone on here, then bought a few more.
Had my eye doctor put lenses in them & every once in a while I swap stuff around.

Did you get Oakley Rx lenses in them? Did you have a hard time finding a provider in your area that would send them to Oakley Authentic lenses? All the offices in my area would sell the frames but said they couldn't send in frames to Oakley to have them install script lenses.

Eventually, I just went through an online retailer who got em done for me instead. Going that route for my sunglasses now as well.

My vision is so bad that I've never been able to have actual Oakley script lenses. I buy the frame and take it to my eye dr and they have the lenses made. I'd really like to have a set of rx lenses in 1 of my twenty frames but I don't think they can shave the edges thin enough. Hooray for contacts. Helping visually impaired folks spend hordes of money on sweet shades.

No. I just took the frame I had & the eye doctor put their lenses in them. It was time for a change. Got a little off for my insurance

Not sure how bad you are but I'm a combined -3.50/-2.00 and were still able to get mine done. I also found out that with OTD Edge, you can get some frames up to +4 to -6. Here's a copy/paste from a site I found while doing my research. The lines aren't straight but the sets are, in order, Single Vision Limit (+), Single Vision Limit (-), Progressive Limit (+), Progressive Limit (-).

Thanks for the list. Each eye has been at -6.00 for about the past 5 years. It's been -5.00 or worse since the mid to late 90's. I used a square wire 2.0 back around 03 or 04 but when it changed I put the fire lenses back in and sold them. Since then I went through a few pair of straight line 2.0's and catapults which are both RX. I see the straight jacket is still a possibility for my less than stellar eyes, just might have to look into that option.

Sad little update. After a few days of owning these bad boys, I noticed they were inherently louder than any other glasses I've ever owned. A creak or squeak that made opening them or adjusting them on my head endue the noise. It even showed up on the video I took of it: Loud frames I gave them back to the optometrist and they said the lenses were made too small for the frame. The whole set had to be sent back to Oakley to be remade.

How could they make a set of their lenses too small for their frames? Seems like something that shouldn't have happened.
