Fixing a Broken Romeo Stem?

@jdd32 welded a broken XS a while back

Here I will post a few more pictures. My guess is a bad casting. I applied a shockingly small amount of force when I was sliding on a lubricated ear sock. Thankfully I didn't stab myself as it was close.

The serial number is pretty high, so I would think sourcing a donor arm from another frame might not be too bad. I was hoping someone like @jdd32 could fix them, as any repairs will be covered by the ear sock and would be hidden, plus I feel that would be better than sourcing a new arm.

Looks like there's a huge cavity. That can happen. They should have HIPed (hot isostatic pressing) these parts. But that would have lowered their margin.

Hey All,

While prepping a numbers matching R1 to sell I tragically broke the shockingly brittle stem under the ear sock.

I have been told welding titanium is a difficult process. Does anyone have the ability to weld titanium? Or does anyone have a replacement arm, or know where I could get one?

Also, would a replacement XX or Juliet arm work? Just trying to feel out what my options are. Thanks!
