Does any body use Flak Jackets for baseball or softball? If so what lenses do you use for the different conditions i.e. sunny day, night time under the lights, overcast.

dont have flak jackets but have jawbones. I use fire iridium for sunny days, persimmon for overcast and i have the yellow for night games. Lenses are vented.

Here's the list...

VR28 Black Polar for most situations
Fire Polar in bright clear days for high contrast (still prefer VR28 Black Polar though)
Hazy Days Shallow Blue Polar or OO Red Polar
Cloudy days Amber Black Polar...

my top lenses (performance)
1. VR28 black (all rounder to high light. snow and desert get polarised)
2. G30 (low light, its near unbeatable. try to find versions with a stronger iridium coating..)
3. Deep blue polarised (amazing on the water.. use shallow blue in lower light)
4. Gold/Tungsten/Titanium (good daily wearers, but may as well go VR28 black anyway)
5. Ruby/positive red (balances the suns yellow light, making everything brighter/whiter. fantastic for a sunny day or neutralising sunrise/sunset lighting.)

Do u think the persimmon lenses r better than the high intensity yellow for overcast

I feel persimmon (theres also HI persimmon which is fantastic) is a more well rounded lens than HI yellow, which is very specific. overcast wise, HI yellow is still too bright. I have a persimmon transitions that i use for those scattered cloudy days. perfect.
