Gen 1,2,3 differences

Can you Frogskin gurus please enlighten me as to the differences in the Generation 2 and Gen 3 frogskins sunglasses? I know Generation 1 is metal hinges, is that all? Thanks.

The lense size is a bit smaller on the Gen 2 and the hinge is a bit different. Also the material feels s bit harder on the Gen 2. The made in USA ce is located in a different spot on the arm. Closer to the orbital. All in all the Gen 2 a bit smaller.

In the photos notice the difference between the hinge on the Gen 2 on the right vs the Gen 3 on the left. As well as size of the frame. Hope this helps

No. You will break the Gen 2 orbitals if you try to put Gen 3 lenses in. The Gen 1 are a bit taller than the other 2 and wont fit in either. Gen 3 lenses fit in Gen 1 loosely. Works though without falling out.

Hmm, today I tried to fit a gen 3 (4?) lens in to a gen 2 frame. It fits!

Must say the fit is a bit tighter than in the frame it came from. But still, no damage at all! (frame is NOS, no cracks)

Anyone tried this too?
