Gold Plating X-metals

Does anyone know if it is possible to electroplate an X-metal frame with gold or platinum?

Yep, it's been done in gold. There's a dude on FB who had one of each of his x-metals done, they look pretty sweet.

Cool. I was wondering if titanium could be plated because I have an uncle who can do gold plating.

Don't know whether to do original 24k or new 24k though. New might be too expensive.

I doubt it would look the same. From the pics I've seen, original doesn't look shiny like the new. It would come out shiny like the new one because it would use actual gold. Idk what they used at Oakley.

I guess it'll be a tedious work of stripping the coat off before plating
