Believe it or not they were not touching at all but anyway any contact that happened was probably covered by rubber but just for you I did this...

I would say the set up you recently posted is the best one. I think the pairs could be arranged differently but that's 100% up to you. This really shows the diversity, quantity and quality of your collection. You should be very proud of this amazing display!
