Apparently avant garde sunglasses are still made.

Some are obviously meh. Others... cool enough that I wanted to let the Oakley Forum pack of wolves tear at it...

very cool looking glasses. Most have opening between the orbitals / lenses and the ear stems so not very effective for sun blockage. Lots of light leakage. I am thinking these are more for appearance than functionality

I'm much more interested the industrial avant garde or the tech wearable avant garde (google glass xp design wasn't particularly inspiring) than just fashion design; that said - sometimes I get tired of looking at the same safe current oakley designs with different colorways.

Even an occasional poke in the eye (some of these are only marginally better than a poke in the eye) is a worthy counterpoint to the same 'ol same ol'...
